I’m sure, when most people think about Michigan, the car scene is not what comes to mind. Just like any other state, we have a passion. With no preference, just the fact that a simple “form of transportation” to some, can bring so many, so close. From trucks, cars, vans, bikes, anything. From classic, to modern, import to muscle. Lifted and lowered trucks. We even have those lowered/stretched mopeds, that those hipsters are riding. (Just a joke, try to laugh.)
Southeast Michigan is home to one of the largest car events in the country, The “Woodward Dream Cruise“.
I will be recapping that, as well as, all the other events that I personally have attended.
The 2015 season starts off with the Detroit Auto Show!
This show is used mainly for Manufactures, to show off new ideas, and “debut” future cars. The highlight of the Auto Show was a good battle between the 2017 Ford GT and the 2016 Acura NSX. Both very beautiful cars, very well designed.
The “World Debut” cars were all stunning to see. Seeing what everything is evolving into, as far as new body lines, new aerodynamic features, new power-train layouts, and so much more.
The list of cars is:
-2016 Acura NSX
-2015 Alfa Romeo 4C Spyder
-2016 Audi Q7
-2016 BMW 6-Series Coupe and Convertible

These were all beautiful cars to see. Here are some pictures I have taken from the Auto Show.
Now moving on the the next event, The Detroit Autorama. This takes place in Downtown Detroit in the Cobo Center, and it is “America’s Greatest Hot Rod Show”. This isn’t for manufactures to show off their upcoming releases, but for the enthusiasts to present what they have built.
Here are some pictures I took at this event.
The Autorama was one of my personal favorite meets, just because I simply love the old, rustic, hot rod looks.
Moving away from Southeast Michigan, lets travel about 5 hours north. Just crossing the Mackinaw Bridge, a small town named “St Ignace” lies. This car show, attracts hundreds of thousands of people. Being mainly focused on older muscle and hot rods, it is still in such a nice place on the lake, a nice get away.
Here is a picture of some of the crowd the day of the actual car show itself!
Now here are some pictures my good friend, Jerrod S and I took while there!
This is a three day event. The first day is the cruise, the second day is the parade, and the third and last day is the actual car show. It is always a good time.
Now lets travel all the way back down to Shelby Township, to the Stony Creek Metropark, for the Michigan All Out Meet!
This meet was almost a complete “import” meet. Some jaw-dropping cars showed up. Had a blast none the less!
Huge Shoutout to everybody at MIAO for throwing such a good meet!
Now for the real event. The Woodward Dream Cruise..
I hate to say, I was cruising the entire time so I had to use pictures from other sources (CBS Detroit and Kyle B.)
This was the place to be in early August if you were in Michigan. Easily the best event to ever attend. Stopped traffic for MILES, South and North. But not just any traffic, the traffic you did not mind being stuck in. Super clean, classics. Well done imports. Everybody comes out, with the need for speed, just to sit in bumper to bumper traffic. Hearing the deep rumble of the built v8s(or subarus), and smelling the 110 octane, maybe some burning rubber if you were next to the guy that didn’t care about the police.
But enough talking, lets get to some pictures.
The Woodward Dream Cruise is always the highlight of the year for car enthusiasts in Michigan.
A few weeks later there was another meet out at Stony Creek, this time hosted by Mike D!
Brought around the same crowd, a few different cars. Still a great time.
Here are some pictures from “Mike’s Giant Meat” taken by Travis C!
Always a good outcome at Stony Creek. It is such a nice place to be!
Now we’re going to take a break from Shelby Township, and head out to Brighton to take a look at the Lingenfelter Car Collection!
This car collection is a wide variety of different, classic, modern, and exotic cars!
Seeing this collection for the first time left me in “aww”.
Just seeing so many different cultures, in the same garage, owned by the same family, is so amazing.
Now lets aim towards Canada and go to Belle Isle Park, in Detroit. This was the last meet I attended of the 2015 season.
Steve S, ran the idea by a few people. 20 turned into 50, 50 turned into 200, and soon enough it neared 1000 people. A 60 degree Sunday afternoon, we had to take the advantage of the nice weather, not knowing if we will have another nice day to bring the cars out!
Here are some pictures I took at the “End of The Season Super Car Meet”
Now if you have stuck around this far, these are all the events that I have attended this year. Such a good year, but the next year is always better!
Thanks for taking the time to read through my recap of the 2015 season!
I can’t wait to recap the 2016 season!
